HYINGA is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2011 in Brussels where the Hyinga Secretariat is registered under the Belgian Law. The founding work group of Hyinga consists of multi-disciplinary scholars and experts on hydro-electricity and hydrogen energy, practitioners of international cooperation projects as well as the earlier founded NGO ‘Eurafrica’ which initiated the Hyinga concept since 2004. With the preliminary framework study done at the Belgian Université Libre de Bruxelles, the Hyinga initiative is recognized by several Congolese Ministers throughout the issuing of Ministerial official Expressions of Interest.

OUR VISION is to tackle the challenges of climate change and energy security by promoting feasible solutions of
renewable electricity for Sub-Sahara in Africa and renewable hydrogenfor the world. However, the full respect to sustainable development for the country and for the entire African Continent which should encompass short term socio-economic issues as well as long term educational assistance remains as the highest priorities for the project. In the era of glocalization, we believe that these challenges should be handled with comprehensive methods and require appropriate responses from all stakeholders of international community.

Therefore, OUR MISSION is to spread the concept of HYINGA project, seek reliable and equitable partners to prepare feasible working plan of the project and promote its rapid implementation.

HYINGA devotes all our efforts to achieve the project for the interests of all involved parties, and especially the interests of the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
